Helping an international transformation change agent to define their public expression

The Challenge

Established in 1998, BCforward has grown and evolved over the past several decades into a valued consultancy and staffing partner for top global companies. With a focus on IT and, more recently, agile transformation, the company was looking to better define its values, mission, positioning, and other key brand attributes.

The Outcome

We worked directly with CEO Justin Christian, who was a personal inspiration to our leadership in evolving Consciously to what it is today. We had many engaging conversations with the C suite in light of their evolving strategic mission to accurately nail down the messaging BCforward needed to define itself in the modern era.

The Story

Compared to many tech-focused companies, BCforward is well-entrenched. Founded in 1998, before most people had an internet-connected computer in their home, BCforward aimed to provide top-quality IT personnel for companies undergoing digital transformation. 

As tech evolved, so did the company. The agile revolution of the mid 2000s meant that having technology in your building was no longer enough. Digital experiences had to be integrated into your service delivery model and at nearly every stage of the value creation pipeline. In light of this, BCforward grew its capabilities to not just provide the right personnel, but to also inform the right strategy to make the best use of the right people. They became a leading strategic consultancy and staffing partner for companies like Hewlitt Packard and the National Football League.

BC Forward wished to reflect its current goals, mission, and company positioning within its outward and inward-facing messaging. They engaged us at Consciously to talk about their current trajectory and what they wished to focus on most within their vertical. We discussed what differentiated them from similar competitors, with a focus on consulting and strategy first and staffing as the logical conclusion to those conversations.

It was a privilege to speak with Justin Christian, recipient of EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, who is undeniably a dynamic CEO leading a great, highly engaged team. Our discussions pulled at common threads from the strategic team’s point of view and wove them together into a compelling brand story

 



Our work provided foundational messaging documents and served as the seed inspiration for a website and branding language rewrite. The efforts we put into discovering what the BCforward brand is today — and how it reflects their mission going forward — will help chart a route towards further success, recognition, and appreciation among companies seeking to digitally reinvent themselves.
